This is a fabulous French Empire Antique Mahogany Glazed Vitrine. Has a beautiful white marble top with brass galleried rail, glazed panels to each side, glazed central door with reeded columns each side with brass infills. Also has brass banding to the glass panels, each of the four shelves and all four feet are tipped with brass ends. The rear is stamped and labelled 'Hopilliart & Leroy, 12et 16 Ruedes sts Peres a Paris. Famous French cabinet makers. The Vitrine measures 58.75" inches tall x 24" inches wide x 12.5" inches deep. Original stool from Queen Elizabeth's Coronation at Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 1953. It is made of limed oak and sits on square chamfered legs. The underside is branded 'ER Coronation'. Makers name 'Glenister Wycombe'. It is upholstered with its original red velvet fabric with red embroidered edging. This is a stunning and rare Antique Victorian Mahogany Twin Pedestal Fall Front Desk with raised cabinet section enclosing adjustable shelves, four small drawers with pen box and fall front leather topped writing surface with Chubb Locks. The locking system on this desk is quite unique and rare. The single lock when closed fully locks the whole desk so all the lower drawers, the side cupboards and the fall front are all locked. The whole pieces is made from superb quality Mahogany including all the drawer linings and has an inlay with the initials CL or LC and dated 1878. Measurements are as follows; 57" inches widest x 29" inches deepest x 56.25" inches highest. Desk height is 30" inches. Raised section measures 26.5" inches from the desk x 12.75" inches deep. The fall front writing surface measures 27" inches wide x 22" inches deep. Overall condition is very good and original. Shows no signs of restoration or non original parts. Has usual wear and tear commensurate with age and use. Very clean and ready to use. Top section lifts off and the top unscrews from the twin pedestals thus making it easy to transport and install. The central scene depicts two cherubs, one leading the other in a chariot pulled by two goats. This is a stunning Rare Rene Lalique Inkwell Quatre Sirene opalescent glass with a design of four female type Siren figures from Greek mythology moulded to the underside. Fully signed R Lalique and in perfect original condition. Measures 6cm tall x 16cm diameter.
The well figured mahogany case stands at 6ft. 4ins on bracket feet . The trunk has canted front corners and a rectangular glazed door revealing the temperature compensated pendulum with mercury filled jar, and to the right hand side, a well made six spoke pulley supporting the brass weight. The flat topped hood with circular glazed aperture and reflector ring,is framed with quadrant mouldings. The 12 inch silvered circular dial is engraved "Howlett, Cheltenham" and has a sweep minute hand and subsidiary dials for hours and seconds in the conventional regulator dial layout. The substantial six pillar movement with high shouldered plates, has six spoked wheels throughout the train and end float adjusters for the centre wheel through to escape wheel arbors. The escapement is dead-beat and there is also "Harrisons" maintaining power. There is a beat adjusting facility on the top of the crutch.

The upper section with two mirrored doors enclosing a stunning satinwood shelved interior above three small drawers all with lock and original key. The desk below has a tooled leather writing surface above three drawers on four Cabriole style legs. All in very good condition commensurate with age and use.
