This is a stunning Royal Worcester Reticulated Porcelain Tray beautifully hand painted with Highland Cattle in a mountainous Scottish landscape signed by the artist John Stinton and dated 1906. This is a fabulous French Empire Antique Mahogany Glazed Vitrine. Has a beautiful white marble top with brass galleried rail, glazed panels to each side, glazed central door with reeded columns each side with brass infills. Also has brass banding to the glass panels, each of the four shelves and all four feet are tipped with brass ends. The rear is stamped and labelled 'Hopilliart & Leroy, 12et 16 Ruedes sts Peres a Paris. Famous French cabinet makers. The Vitrine measures 58.75" inches tall x 24" inches wide x 12.5" inches deep. Condition is very good, no damage or restoration just normal wear as you would expect consistent with age and use. A small early 18th century Walnut Kneehole Desk. The honeyed tones of the walnut is enhanced by fine herringbone inlay to the top surface and drawer fronts. The drawers, which are lined with oak, retain their original brassware. The central kneehole has a small cupboard space. It is a charming piece of furniture from the walnut period, and is in good condition, with some restorations and repairs that can be expected in such a piece. Circa 1720
A late 17th century "joined backstool" with all the spirit of the oak period. Substantial in weight, it glows with a superb colour and surface, the top rail and edges softened by age. The panelled back and shaped rails are simple and beautiful. Small restorations, such as a patch in the seat, built up back leg, and a patch repair in the left upright post where it joins the seat, are simply part of the history of this antique chair. Circa 1690
An exquisite late 17th Century marquetry chest on bracket feet. This chest comprises of 2 small and 3 long spacious drawers, with pretty tear-drop handles, that can be locked as required (key is included). This item is beautifully detailed on 4 sides with well-crafted inlays of birds and flowers. Good condition piece.
Late 17th century Charles ? caned armchair. This style of furniture, lighter and more decorative than the oak regional tradition of that time, was introduced to the British Isles with the Restoration of the Monarchy in 1660. This example in walnut is typical of the style. The caned back has a pierced and carved frame flanked by barley twist supports. A cresting rail and the front stretcher are profusely carved, and other rails have barley twist turnings. The caning, not the original, is in perfect condition. Circa 1680
This is a stunning and rare Antique Victorian Mahogany Twin Pedestal Fall Front Desk with raised cabinet section enclosing adjustable shelves, four small drawers with pen box and fall front leather topped writing surface with Chubb Locks. The locking system on this desk is quite unique and rare. The single lock when closed fully locks the whole desk so all the lower drawers, the side cupboards and the fall front are all locked. The whole pieces is made from superb quality Mahogany including all the drawer linings and has an inlay with the initials CL or LC and dated 1878. Measurements are as follows; 57" inches widest x 29" inches deepest x 56.25" inches highest. Desk height is 30" inches. Raised section measures 26.5" inches from the desk x 12.75" inches deep. The fall front writing surface measures 27" inches wide x 22" inches deep. Overall condition is very good and original. Shows no signs of restoration or non original parts. Has usual wear and tear commensurate with age and use. Very clean and ready to use. Top section lifts off and the top unscrews from the twin pedestals thus making it easy to transport and install. These are stunning and Rare Pair of Loetz Green Papillion Dimpled Iridescent Glass Vases with Foliate Silver Overlay c1905. They each measure 6.25" inches tall and are a superb bulbous shape. They are 100% genuine and guaranteed! You will not see a better pair.
